Re: What Is "normal" Now Where You Are?

It would be nice if we could actually communicate with China about where they're at, what helped, what didn't.

I can't help but feel like letting the virus run its course is the only way. It's the only thing that ever made sense to me. Lock up the seniors and let everybody else tough it out. Once it's been toughed out, which around here it looks like it has, then tell Grandma and Grandpa it's ok to come out.

Did China do this? Did they develop an effective treatment method? How come ONLY Wuhan had the extreme reaction that it did? Why isn't Beijing completely covered in bodies?

I don't remember seeing that in the contract. Guess you're fired then. Take care.

What's joe going to do that would make this go away quicker? Shut down the entire economy including essential and weld our doors shut like they did in China?
It was a joke.

Stopped at a Jersey Mikes today, and they had a sign saying you couldn't enter (employees only), and tables making a square in front of the door blocking entry but allowing an employee to come out and take your orde... All the other Jersey Mikes let you go in...

The employees had masks on behind plexiglass, and in close proximity to one another (1-2' behind the counter)... by default, customers who enter the location are 6' away from the employees, and then there was the plexiglass...

Made absolutely zero sense, but government can't force YOU to do it, so they do it through the companies you want to do business with (they know you don't want to hassle the company or the employees)... kinda' like with taxes...

The one thing this has done for us is it's shown how stupid people really are. All you have to do is look at people now to know who.

Re: What Is "normal" Now Where You Are?

Wondering whne my governor is going to decide to drop back a phase to "protect the people" from living their lives. Govt one size fits all rules are stupid. The "cases" have been rising in my state, the positivity rate of the testing has also been rising. The hospitalizations are also on the rise but they haven't determined if this is seasonal or not.

Really!? This is the time where the flu starts coming into the state, this is the seasonal change where people naturally get sick because of the rapid temp change and you still don't know if it's seasonal? Of course part or most of it is seasonal you moron. Why would it change in only this year?

My friend lost his dad,mom and sister in law to it. Dad was on his death bed and mom was not in good health. Any type of flu they would not have survived. How many actual cases killed healthy people.

I agree with Mike, people really are showing their own intelligence.

If it was a political stunt to overhype it at the onset, it's morphed into something completely different now. You can't condition people to be afraid of the outdoors for 6 months then expect to be able to turn it off like a light switch. People are really truly terrified of this and I'm not sure who can reverse course on this. Anderson Cooper? If Rachel Maddow says it's now ok, is that how this ends?

The numbers didn't stop. They changed the numbers they were reporting.

At first it was the inflated death numbers. Now it's the inflated case numbers. The use of PCR testing to find a fragment of a gene that is somewhat common, convert that from RNA to DNA and double it 40 times and then they take the sample.

If there is anything in there it's going to show up in huge numbers (10x10^17). People may have a small fragment that would never amount to sickness, but if you do the PCR test it'll show and they will classify you as a positive result with the implication that you are infected and infectious which is preposterous in most cases.

The asymptomatic carrier is likely nearly non existent, only the test makes that you to the govt for there purposes.

I doubt the mask mandate ever goes away, maybe in 5 years people and businesses will slowly start to relax their enforcement. Only god knows when/if osha will ever stop fining businesses for corona violations.

I'm definitely beginning to worry that we just got stuck with a mask wearing society.

Weird that it didn't happen under the Muslim president though, huh? MAGA works in mysterious ways.

My wife and I were working on finding sweat wicking hijabs for the whole family. Might as well.

Sidenote: How hard is dating right now at a bar if you dont know if youre working with a 4 or a 7???

You only have to wear the mask on your way to the bar.

Maybe Trump was Obama's plan all along. This is how he finally takes our guns and enacts Sharia Law.

It will go away when people grow a set of balls and say enough!

My biggest fear is that government and politicians saw how easy it was to brainwash and manipulate the population and will do it again anytime they invent some other BS crisis.

I can see them laughing their asses off over how they got everybody to wear masks.
