Sometimes you don't have to wait for a scientific paper. Life has a way of providing empirical evidence in the meantime.

Re: Well Fark Me..

Me: I have a medical condition that prohibits me from wearing a mask.
Whoever: What’s the condition?
Me: The 4th Amendment of the US Constitution prohibits you from asking me that. As well as HIPAA.
Whoever: Well you can’t come in here then.
Me: The ADA says it is illegal for you to prohibit me from entering.
It’s that simple. These mandates are not law. Laws have to be passed by legislatures. And only then can they be enforced. Look at Wisconsin, they were sued over all this and their State Supreme Court ruled they are unconstitutional.

Re: Well Fark Me..

My understanding is my mask protects you and your mask protects me. So, I wear something whenever I go into any store to pick up materials or am in a public setting. But on the job site, it's difficult. Our crews do what we can but it's definitely been difficult

So, my opinion, it's a human kindness to wear a mask. I do it for others, not just for myself.

Do you understand where I live? I honestly don't even give it a second thought, one way or the other. Most weeks when I'm working in the shop, I don't see another human being all week, except my wife & possibly the neighbor who's cattle are behind my shop. I copied & pasted that other post.

MO's Gov said he has no intention of signing an order for it to be mandatory to wear a mask.

That's all well and good, but leaves out the option of a vendor not to serve you because you won't conform to his conditions. Which are at least in part dictated by his compliance with gummint "guidelines" in order to keep his license to operate.

Kinda have my doubts the ADA supercedes that, at least until someone with deep enough pockets wins out in court. Which is pretty much meaningless in terms of personal emergency in real time.

Re: Well Fark Me..

Been mandatory here for months.

I wear an N-95, because I've kept a dozen or so on the truck for the last 15 years. I build for a living.

I wear the mask to make other people feel good.

I wear it out of respect for the clerks at the lumberyard, who go to work everyday, and are scared that they might get it, while trying to do their jobs.

I wear it because I'm a Christian and a gentleman.

It's extremely sad how many people are talking incessantly about their "Rights" these day, and no one every mentions duty or responsibility.

Jesus and the Apostles never talked about "rights". They talked about duty and responsibility.

It's sad that the government of this country has spent decades lying to, and oppressing, it's own citizens, and now when they actually, for once, have to do something to actually help the citizens, instead of just stealing from them, no one believes them.

It's sad that the government is so unbelievable corrupt and wicked, that they don't even know how to help their own people, when their lives literally depend on it.

It's sad that the people of this country make every F&^%ing thing political. They play right into the hands of the corporate and political rulers of this country. Divide and conquer. Make the citizens believe that politics matter, make the people spend all their time and energy fighting each other, instead of them, who are the real enemy.

I'm absolutely amazed at how no one gives a flying blue F*&^ about anyone but themselves anymore.

I'm amazed that we have a disease that has never before been in humans, we have no idea what to do about it, or what it's going to do to us, and everyone is fumbling around in the dark trying to get a grip on this thing, wondering if it's coming back stronger, or mutated, or something else, and what's on some peoples mind is how their manhood or "rights" are being infringed on by wearing a F**(ing mask.

I'll reply to the rest tomorrow -

But the 75k or 4th etc...

Id tell randy and Leo to get fvcked. Go get a lawyer, pony up the cash, and when my lawyer proves YOU DONT HAVE A DISABLITY id be stomping around in your shops on counter sue lol. General liablity insurance might even cover that for me

I'm all about liberty - and regional differences in covid and caught in the middle on right and wrong

But you thinking you can tell a PRIVATE business who they can and can't serve. Move to Russia or China

Id say 50/50. A lot more testing for sure. Death rate is down, so are hospitalizations. Straight math

Mortality rate is down. Hospitalizations are going way up in a lot of places and only really going down in the spots that have already peaked like NYC. The age of the people catching it now tends to be lower too. That is a big determinant in whether they're going to wind up in the hospital or dead.
