Tried The New Starbucks Unicorn Frappucino?

http://nypost.com/2017/04/21/starbuc...e-of-insanity/

Ok, apparently people are going nuts over the Unicorn Frappucino. You know, the same folks that demand Kale in everything they eat, while gulping down their Wheat Grass shakes.

Did I get sucked into this New Age, Trust Funder, Millennial, Techno Geek craze.....nope, no way. NOoooooooooo! I went ahead and decided to be the vanguard of the new next big thing...that's right ......the Starbucks Unicorn Frappucino colon cleanse. Yippers, just had one and now my colon has put on a top hat and doin' an Irish jib. Dang, I can hardly sit still to tell you all about it.

Starbucks sells milkshakes... Overpriced milkshakes at that. Whenever the wife drags me there on roadtrips, I get lots of funny looks when I demand a large black coffee... I don't speak hipster.

Don't know what's all in wife's coffee, but it costs about 5 bucks. I can get a 20 ouncer at my c store for a buck.

I order black coffee also if that place is my only option, small, don't think I could tolerate one of their large coffee.

Re: Tried The New Starbucks Unicorn Frappucino?

Only time I had anything not a lemonade from there was a frozen coffee something my wife insisted I try. I drank it down and it ran right through me. I always thought that meant you had to whizz it out. nope. It was all I could do to get home without embarrassing myself.

Who would drink that crap on a daily basis?

I've yet to enter a Starbucks.

I had some of their espresso coffee beans given to me a few weeks ago but other than that....nada.

Don't see that changing anytime soon.

76 grams of sugar in that drink, so I looked up what that meant....drumroll please......19 teaspoons of sugar per drink. How is that even possible?

Not sure, I didn't think the employees could count that high.

Re: Tried The New Starbucks Unicorn Frappucino?

Thank you all for replying. I posted this originally on facebook and got nothing....that is right. Absolutely no comments or anything.

I probably shouldn't have used all those descriptive buzz words (Millenial, Trust Funder, etc). I have sure I pissed off 90% of the facebook users.

But, I knew I could count on you guys. Thumbs up And thanks gain.

I used to go there, but skipped the colon cleansing. I imagine the unicorn one left you a little sore, CWAT, and I didn't realize they had them outside of SFO...

Re: Tried The New Starbucks Unicorn Frappucino?

When I resort to Starbucks I too just want a normal black coffee, the person usually say "oh you mean a......." Grrr.
Recently my daughter convinced me to try an iced coffee frappy something. We were driving and I thought I was going to have to pull over as I had a brain freeze from hell. Daughter thought it was funny.

Few weeks ago when I was in Vegas I got a pot of coffee delivered to my room for $12 + $8 delivery charge, plus tip, tax and currently the dollar at 70 some cents Canadian...basically cost me 30 bucks for a couple cups of Joe. And the coffee was terrible.

Next day I walk down to the hotel lobby, big cup of black coffee ran me $5.50...better cup of coffee, less than a 1/4 the price. Worth the 2 min walk.

Following day I walked out of the hotel, down the street a bit and went to Starbucks, for 2 bucks I had a large black coffee that was better than the previous two at a fraction the price.

First time in my life I went to Starbucks to save money.
