"I'm really glad I don't work on a boat" keeps going through my head while I sip this beer.
Glad the family left Scotland and I didn't have to be the disappointment that broke rank.

Re: Things You Love & Hate

I hate that I had to fab up some 70+ re-bar hooks for a project coming up today.
Love that I could do it in a tee shirt in January.

I felt like I was in California, the only thing missing was the paparazzi, I had to take my own pics.

Love having the inspiration come to me for a design I was stuck on.

Hate that it happened after midnight and I had to jump out of bed and go up to my office to get the concepts on paper.

Re: Things You Love & Hate

Anyone recall when I demoed and rebuilt these concrete steps a few years ago?

The last photo I took today....the steps are completely gone and will not be rebuilt. Planting beds will fill the space.

Sad to see that go, it was some of my best work.

Darn glad I did not have to be the crew to tear it out, we reinforced the heck out of it. I'm sure it was no fun to demo!

I hope they had a good reason, and I hope there's better finished pics, because those planters look like hell compared to your stairs.

Can't really say why they decided to remove those...

The entire place has been shut down for renovation for almost two years now. They gutted the building, all the systems have been updated.
They tore out all the curbs and parking lots and replaced everything, huge renovation project.

The area the concrete steps led to, (lower level), also had a driveway that looped through. the drive lane has been eliminated and is pretty much for pedestrian and emergency vehicle traffic.

I suspect the removal has quite a bit to do with liability...you know, people can trip and fall on steps....

They just opened a gourmet pastry shop in between the donut shop and my favorite breakfast burrito supplier.
I love donuts, burritos, and quality pastries.

Hate that I dont feel like working now.
