Re: Things You Love & Hate

Love:
Early morning coffee, done with paperwork, turn to CT and see what's happened from the evening/night before, and seeing a wild-eyed piss-fest has unfolded from a 1st time poster.

Usually along the lines of "I'm a genius, but I need help with a job that The Universe deliberately put in my way to ruin everything I've worked for the last six weeks."

Hate:
That I get a delicious pleasure watching the few wise souls who actually give a phuck, try to respond.

Hate worse:
That the Mods eventually have to step in and end the mess before the blood ruins the carpet.

Ah, time to go....

That's pretty cool temps for SD isn't it? 75-80 is perfect. Someone told me they have perfect year round temps and humidity.

We're up to 88 next week...

Oh hell yeah it does. I wasn't saying it's bad. I'd much rather be sitting in the sun at 70 then the sun at 85... Looks like some nice weather, I was just curious if it's normally that cold there this time of year.

One cold winter in my 52 years here with daily temps at 64 isn't quite enough to say southern Cali has bad weather. I still wear shorts to work. Noticeable humidity is not to be found here. In fact I can't tell you the last time I even saw a mosquito let alone get bit by one.

SD is in fact perfect weather.

Warm during the day, sweatshirt weather at night, basically every single night of the year.

In the "winter" it can gets down into the 40's overnight, but it's still such a dry climate that it doesn't feel anywhere near the cold humid nights out east.

Still no idea why I left.

Re: Things You Love & Hate

I love/hate the work.

I love figuring stuff out and making neat stuff, but sometimes the figuring out part is such a challenge that I feel like I should be given a pass on the actual physical work portion of the job.
Already figured this thing out and did every step of it in my brain 5 times. Now you're telling me I have to go physically do all that? Seems like a waste of my time.

I loved my time in SD. Apparently, so do a whole lot of other people-who never left.
