Re: Things You Love & Hate

Seeing as the discussion has turned to small kitchen appliances---toaster recommendation please. I prefer not a toaster oven, don't have the counter space.

I'm using a percolating coffee pot.

Only reason I’m getting a toaster is the wife is coming out here for a few days. She wants one for her frozen waffles. A slow toaster is probably not a good idea. Me I’d just throw them under the broiler and flip after a minute or so, that’s how I toast bread for BLT’s.

That model is the saddest thing ever manufactured.

Your Plan B sounds better, much better.

There's a Williams and Sonoma across the street from the apartment. I'm sure they'll have something. I'll stop there on the way back from buying a couch.......(this fits right in with the Love/Hate thread)

Re: Things You Love & Hate

This thread is reminding me of move in day to our new house I'm here like what is wrong with the toaster we have while being told it doesn't go with the kitchen. The ****ing thing lives under the counter and comes out only when being used.

Then it was on to the table and the coffee maker and needing an upgrade on the washer I do not miss that day.

If I lived alone I would have a toaster oven a hot plate instapot and a French press and my kitchen would be complete

In our home we have a toaster, 2 couches and 3 Christmas trees, did I mention I have to buy a Christmas tree before she gets here on the 9th (I was going to get a Christmas tree either way)?

My goal was to move out with the 3 boxes I moved in with.

She's coming out here to buy a house, why do I need all this crap I'm going to have to move? As it is I have to get the stuff from our home in Indiana to here (unless she decides not to sell that house...).

(for the record---I do love my wife---it's the illogical crap that I hate)

You and I have no problem using the broiler--my wife--not so much.

This is the feature for feature replacement I bought.

This way, I do not have to relearn how to use the damned thing.

Well water kills them eventually, even after cleaning regularly.

5 years would be an extremely exceptional run for me.
