Re: Things I Love (2)

Looks like a beauty, best coarse I've been on was a PGA in Palm Spring's.
The grass was so damn soft compared to the courses I ussualy play on up in the north. Was launching divots the size of a toupee . To bad wasn't a Trump coarse or it would be a good pun.
Marshall almost kicked us off for driving to crazy in the carts hahaha. This was before it was cool on jackass.

Looking at my two gala apple trees and seeing baby apples growing. I planted them two years ago and did not expect any yet. Especially sweet considering my pear and peach trees were screwed up by the late freeze we had.

Those are for the guys that spend $100K on their decks, not build them.

Reminds me of an old Chris Rock bit, comparing “rich” to “wealthy.”

“Shaq is rich; the guy that signs Shaq’s check is wealthy!”

Goes along with poor and broke.
When you're poor, you have nothing.
When you're broke, you can't afford what you have.

A guy I worked with decades ago was good enough to go on the circuit, but never did. He played a lot of out if reach courses when someone needed a partner for a country club tournament.

I figured I lost the job because it’s so easy someone can go in dirt cheap and still make money. He wanted me to do it the entire time but was just waiting till after the winter so he can put off putting his snow guards on the metal roof for another 8 months.lol. Could have at least given me a heads up months ago.

Oh I'm fairly hungry by then, I used to eat when I got up. So going 5 hours without eating was a change. LOL, sometimes I ate two breakfasts. LOL.

I've been skipping lunch and eating at 9:30. Works well for me anyway.

Re: Things I Love (2)

Walking into an architect's office, invited by the architect because they are having issues in the planning and pricing stages of a large renovation. I walk in as another Builder (major rival) is walking out and I can see his eyes change in and the worry creep in.....

I winked at him and thought yeah I'd be worried too hoss, because me and my crew are going to be stomping around that job site that you thought was going to be yours. LOL. All I needed was a window to get in front of these people and you gave it to me buddy.

I'll have to text him and thank him later. LOL

Some days it is as good a feeling to take work from the competition is it is to sign work for yourself. LOL .

Love this business.
