Re: Things I Love (2)

Not sure if this will post correctly here. 21 gun salute during a snow storm at Fort Drum yesterday. My sister and brother in law were stationed up there for 5 or 6 years

Free fire wood. Beautiful maple and walnut rounds, cut to size...need splitting.
Probably a cord for next years use.

Not me...you can bet on that.

I thought I'd hire you to come down and take care of it...some afternoon when you're free.

A guy I know has a splitter and he owes me a favor or ten.

When I lived in Chile, I traveled south and witnessed the aurora australis. It was breathtaking from a zero light polluted Patagonia.

That's a piece of tree trunk, Leo. Usually about 16-18" long.

Ask his wife, she probably knows since she most likely splits the wood too.

He is too. Sumbitch can split some wood. I'm talkin' big-ass wood....like 24" in diameter.

I was impressed.

I didn't want him giving me mouth to mouth resuscitation...that's why I quit and went back to my chair.

Method in my madness.
