She's an in vitro fertilzation baby (test-tube baby) and both the mother (my niece) and her biological father have no idea who each other is. I know, weird, but she was getting older and wanted a baby and makes a good enough living to self-support. She's a great kid and I'm the only adult-male influence in her life...so I teach her the cool stuff like spit-wads, paper airplanes and a plethora of other "neat" things.

Anyway, she asked if Uncle Robie could take her to the dance instead of her mother. Something tells me she's getting to the age where she's wondering about "Daddy"....dunno.

Looking forward to it. Coat & tie, corsage...the whole shootin' match.

Also...she's my assistant when I go over there and make dinner.

Tonight was the big night.

We had a great time.

French fries and milkshakes at Waybackburger afterwards.

I dunno Rob, that pic looks like you're holding her hostage.

On the bright side, you ought to get whatever the ransom is.

She's a good kid...very smart.

When they're well behaved and mannerly, it makes being with them soooo much easier.

I don't do well with brats.

It's amazing how fast they grow up.
I look back at pictures and videos I took of her a few years ago and can't believe it.

I'm glad I'm not the kid that comes calling to pick her up on her first date.

I won't be a jerk to him but, we will have a brief moment of private conversation.

I have a friend who is a Marine. He would tell boys that came to his house "Whatever you do to her, I'm going to do to you." It seemed effective.

That drill gets used only with long boy twist bits, augers catch easily and can do some damage!!

It's great for drilling right through Simpson buckets, through the 6x beam and out the other side of the bucket using the Long Boy twist bits.

I quit using that drill since I bought the cordless hawg.
