Finding new ways for my kids to take showers...

Soap, water, and a trampoline as I sprayed them off. Who knew I could get them excited to take showers at the end of the day

Slacking.

Worked today and now am laying on the bed with the dogs in the a/c.

Starting my 5th week in the heat with no time off. I should be either roofing my house, painting my house or repointing my chimney. Or a miryad of things in the yard or garden.

I ain't.

Fresh Raspberries from the garden, although they would of been much better with vanilla ice cream.

My grandmother turns 107 today. Not many guys my age can say they still have a living grandmother.

I feel older than that on most days recently.

Hope she keeps on keeping on!

I have an aunt that will turn 101 in Sept. Pretty sharp yet too. Can one even imagine the changes they have seen in their lifetime.

Re: Things I Love (2)

While re-pointing a Pennsylvania Schist patio last week, I hear an unusual chuff of an approaching aircraft, I pop out of my sun shade to see two V-22 Osprey cruising Southwest.

My first sighting of an Osprey in flight. Then I lament about how I miss seeing the military birds, as my house is on one of the landing patterns of the now, decommissioned NAS Willow Grove. Mostly C-130 Hercules and A-10 Thunderbolt II "Worthog" with occasional jets and the big CH-47 whirlybirds. When it was time for the air show, well the sky was the limit.
...But I digress...

What I really love is that today I got to see them coming back, (from N.C. ? to where?) I instantly knew the sound this time, very distinctive.

After some minor research, it looks like they are refurbushing them down in Superseal's neck of the woods.

We see them all the time here. They love to fly through the valley I live at the bottom of.

Try that on a house rocked with limestone, talk about a pita. I tried to drop those decks a step but, that doesn't always fly with the customer.
