Re: Things I Love (2)

I cannot tell you how many fence jobs we get as a result of two neighbors not getting along. It's really good for business.

Re: Things I Love (2)

Love that I was able to have a guy do some tractor work on my place at the last minute.

We are heading into fire season and I was way behind on prep.

Loved that I didn't have to do it, that he did a great job, that I gained about 1/4 acre back from the black berries plus an acre or so from the brush,, that he blew though some old fence line we wanted to get through, we are more fire ready, our horses can get on the orchard now, I can now start prepping for a 1/2 acre of fall raised beds, etc, etc.

Best 300 bucks I ever spent.

Awesome good old dude. Apologized for taking a lunch break, not that it mattered to me, and kept at in 90 degree weather. Not to many guys like that around.

It does feel wierd to pay someone to do work on my place. Even wierder to watch someone else work. I did do some ground checking for him as we had a ton of old T-posts in the brush, but I mainly hung out in the shade when I got home and he finished up.

I suppose I also love that I am too busy to do the work right now.

Had a nice peaceful evening mowing on our property. Even caught a nice sunset over a Kansas corn Field.

Customers that I've done so much work for that they don't ask for a price on anything anymore. They just tell me what they want done then pay the invoice when I send it.

I watched her speech live on 7/3 I was impressed with her positions.

Solid constitutionalist, I'd vote her for president if the option ever presented itself.

And she is easy to look at!

I see her as future Presidential material.

Her as President and Nikki Haley as Vice Presidential candidates.

Lib heads would explode.

Re: Things I Love (2)

My youngest son graduated from University of Hartford with a math teachers degree. Been looking for a job within the local schools and not having much luck. Came close with the high school in our town which he graduated with salutatorian rank. He made it all the way down to 2 applicants but the other guy got it, don't know why he was chosen over my son.

He applied to a Magnet School in Hartford and only had a partial application and they emailed him for an interview. Within 24 hours they sent him another email that was extremely confusing so he had to call up to ask what the heck it meant. They were talking about requirements and meetings in August.

Well apparently they forgot to mention that he got the job and he found out when they called him. The right hand not knowing what the left is doing apparently.

So my son is now a teacher.
