Re: Things I Love (2)

Pillow tops suck! Ours got indents the shape of our bodies. Rolling over and getting out of bed was almost impossible… a $1000 mattress about 5 years old.

Our new one (not pillow top) is rock hard. Just got it in October, so I don’t know about longevity, but I’m sleeping well, no backaches and I can roll over and get out of bed with little effort.

You want a bed comfortable enough to sleep in, but uncomfortable enough that you're excited to get up in the morning.

Had the same issue with my high dollar Sterns & Foster. Body impressions. Not a problem whatsoever with the Beauty Rest black. Had it about 3 years? Zero impressions.

It has to do with the density of the fill. It's a hybrid. Has a percentage of memory foam and latex with coils. Very heavy mattress. You can tell a lot about a mattress just be picking it up.

Now I absolutely have to meet you.

I've never in my life met anyone who counts how many cigars he smokes per year.

You can cover this and more in your new podcast, Fireside Foibles. Build a fire, have a smoke, crack a beer, and interview interesting men and their eclectic eccentricities.
