1) It's Friday.

2) Gov't Mule; Just got paid is on the radio.

3) There's a check for 2k on the passenger's seat.

(Yes, I stopped to send this. The moment was so right it brought a tear to my eye.)

Re: Things I Love

When I don't really want to waste the time to go look at a job where a guy says his kitchen sink has a leak but I go anyway cause I'm a nice guy, and while I'm there he asks if I do roofs because he just got his insurance check from the last hail storm, and needs a good roofer, and I wind up leaving with a nice little roof job...

Ha! I did the same thing today. Just a few hours without my guys. It was nice to have the peace and quiet.

It was nice, just me and a friend of mine that I've worked with off and on for the last twenty years. Had it framed up by noon and then hit the golf course for 18.

I love...being able to completely finish all of my business in the restroom before I leave the house in the morning so that I am not out looking for a clean place to sit down and finish the job later on.

Taking off all of my clothes, taking a hot shower, and then letting the A/C run at full blast after a 12-hour day of getting hot and sweaty, rained on, and then hot and sweaty again.

I also love hot Italian sausage with peppers and onions, just the smell alone is enough to make my mouth water.

I love coming home after a hot, sweaty, stressful day and feeling like I could burst at the seems and then these two rascals come barreling out of the garage.

I love.. searching for my favorite music artists live in concert on YouTube and discovering videos where some of them played together on the same stage.

Hey now, you listen here, you young rascal. There comes a point in life where that really is the most important part of getting the day started.

We don't go - until I GO. Period. Now whether it takes 2 cups, or even starting a second pot - that's just how it has to be.
