Having a Monday Moanin' with no major fires to put out and scooting away early to mow the back acreage.

And here's the good part: Wheeling up to blackcap and raspberry bushes and stuffing my mouth by the handful.

Yee-hah - it's a berry rodeo!

Mulberry good too! Enjoy them while you can!

Up here, we have black caps and blackberries.
Blackberries will be coming into season in about 2 weeks.

They're the ones that are generally larger, more long than round, and the core stays in them when you pick 'em. Also the canes get much bigger, and the thorns are wicked BAD.

The last EX's grandad had a grove of commercial blackberries in Tawas MI. He kept the canes at 9 ft high!

Re: Things I Love

My customers. My knees have been bad the last two days so I've been catching up on estimates and site visits, etc. I have a siding project in progress, unoccupied cottage. I email the owner every couple days with a progress report. This time of course, I had to tell her that nothing new was accomplished because of my knees, though I'd be at it again tomorrow. I was worried about how she'd react. The exact text of her response?

"Take care! I need you for many more years of updates and improvements.
"

I love customers like that.

I do that everyday. I set goals. Don't always meet them, but it's really cool when I exceed them.

Going on my first class trip today to see Pinocchio with my 4yr old daughter's class.

Little nervous to be honest.

Those aren't blackberries, those are black raspberries. Related, but different.

Call 'em what you want, won't change the flavor.

I enjoy the heck out of black caps.

As do I, growing up we had bushes of them all around our property. But they taste different than blackberries.

I'm typically the guy setting up the WiFi and I like to use it as a bartering chip with other trades.

I love It when they eat crow! After I wouldn't jump as high as I was asked .

After a few bad apples .. Waiting on me Is all of a sudden not a problem!

Funny how that works.
