Things I Love

When everybody in the neighborhood of a project slows down when they drive by to yell "Looking nice!"

And it doesn't matter if they are talking about the deck or me

Next time holler back "Thanks, but how does my roof look?!"

Good way to get the elder ladies giggling!

When i finish a deck and the h/o brings out some beers for me and the help. Then just shooting the chit with them when they ask if you do roofs. Yes! 55sq monster.

Re: Things I Love

Getting tipped in this industry. Once, I had a string of 3 HO's in a row. 1st was Dunkin Donuts gift cards for all, 2nd was ben franklin, 3rd was $60 I think. What a cool idea to tip your contractor. After the 3rd in a row I was downright expecting it on the next!

Going into a newer home to do a media center/home theater installation from scratch only to discover that the builder pre-wired it.

Old tools.....finding those old handsaws or planes that have sat, forgotten and abused for the last half century and bringing them back to life.
