I can see it now, black patch with a 2 carat diamond in the center.

Snow, freeze, thaw, freeze = gutter damage to gutters that were on their way out before winter.

No rain, no business for you. No need for gutters in a desert.

Looks like we were too scared to hold the camera still enough to focus.

When your bid suprises a client's budget expectations. My bid is much higher than their prior budget numbers because the other framer didn't know what he was doing when pricing.

70% is a big difference...

I admit, the adrenaline was flowing.

I figured it would be easier to replace 10 of drywall than scrape glue, patch holes, and skim coat.

I cut halfway up, the length of the wall.

I smelled animal when I pulled off the first four feet, so I was watching for rats.

I pulled the next four feet, saw hair, thought skunk, and ran like a little girl.

Called the exterminator and left a message. But I had to go back in the room to close the window. Then I saw it was a possum. I convinced him to go away with a shovel and broom.

Re: Things I Hate (3)

Twice in the last three months, I've had to venture into a crawl space (and I do mean crawl) with a skunk known to be in residence.

Fortunately, I didn't meet him. If I had, I can guarantdurntee there wouldn't be any pics.

Re: Things I Hate (3)

Speaking of possums I was driving down a road with a center divider really early in the morning one day and there was a big possum bumping up against it. I knew he'd be road kill when the traffic picked up so I grabbed a beach towel and went up to him, not sure of what was going to happen.

He started to run and I was going after him when he decided to sulk, play dead. I got him wrapped up in the towel, hauled a$$ up to where the divider ended, took him to an edge of a canyon there and just as he started to come out of his sulking unrolled the towel and he rolled down the hill into the canyon, shook himself off and trucked off into the brush...... it was really neat.

We run into racoons more than anything else. They are creatures with bad attitudes!

To show the possum that it really could be done!
