Were these the culprits?

We are gluing our joist to hanger unions now to help reduce pocket movement.

Re: Things I Hate (3)

I try to avoid hangers on interior floors, they always squeak. When I do have to do it I use a lot of glue and screws so the squeaks are barely noticeable but they are still there. When you frame a house all the products are wet, when everything drys out it shrinks and there will be squeaks.

I started using 3” or 3-1/4” ring shanks on my interior bottom plate to stud connections because those like to squeak too sometimes. . Nail guns don’t like them.

Re: Things I Hate (3)

That moment when you realize you should have juat ordered 20s and been done with it.

In my defense, I did change the footprint of the deck and added a ramp after we ordered material.

So where we were going to need a seam board, now we don't, so we don't need to match on the other side of the tree. Oh well, too late. It will still look cool.

Still.... try and save a dime and spend 300 dollars.
