Ain't happening IMO... that's going to cause more issues than they realize...

Once they begin letting certain workers work, the flood gates are going to open....

Bah. Short one box of vinyl plank at my place and the supplier is closed because it's a stat holiday.
I'll finish the stair treads but the risers will have to wait till next week, as will the kitchen.

Some of these packages that cordless tool batteries come in.

I've butchered animals that were easier to open up.

Re: Things I Hate (3)

And on the subject of cordless tools.....

I try to go cordless, but Damn, the batteries are expensive as $#!t, and don't last very long.

I just bought a couple more M-28 batteries for the circ saw and sawzall, they cost $129 each, and I think I get about 3-5 minutes of use on the circ saw before the battery is dead.

And I'm not gonna go spend another 300 every 2 months for more batteries, or a new M18 Fuel circ saw, when I can plug in my 15 year old Skil and be done with it.

Corded tools don't cost me chit to run.

You're buying the wrong chit then. I can cut very wet ply from 7 to 10:30 on my first charge. Same with screwing,, If I'm screwing hard all moringn I can go to 10 or so on my first charge of a 4.0ah battery. That is 2½ selfdrillers into wood then metal.

Delta… Like DWB said… somethings wrong there. Our 7-1/4 will cut for a few hours. And I’ve been on the M platform for three years now… all original batteries still going.

Makita is the real M platform. You can get (2) 5 amp hour batteries for $89. I still have a few old 3 and 4 amp hours that haven’t been stolen that are still working.

Where can you get 2x 5ah for $89? I'd like to see that link.

Re: Things I Hate (3)

I'm wondering if the M28 might be the problem.

1, MIlwaukee is really pushing the M18 Fuel, so maybe all their tech is going into that, and they are just letting the M28 line die a slow death.

And 2, my circ and recip are both older M28. All my other stuff is M18 Fuel.
Maybe the saw is just worn out. Sawzall is fine though.

I've thought about just dumping the M28 stuff, but I kind of feel bad about just tossing tools that still (sort of ) work.

I am fairly impressed with the new M18 stuff. Have the table saw and it is quite amazing how nice it works.

I'm using batteries from 2015 and they are still going strong.

I know what you mean. I still have these old V18 tools that still work just fine. Who knows how many years they've been sitting on this shelf now.

I had that set. You'll notice they were made in America. Mine were anyway.
