Black locus is more rot resistant than white oak. It's also tougher to work.

Besides axe handles, hickory is good for horse drawn carts.

Every time I pet the dog, it seems I wind up wearing half a dog's worth of fur.

Only a couple more weeks of shedding.

Re: Things I Hate (2)

The aux input in my radio head unit has been real loose for quite some time. After yesterday's road trip to Peace River it finally made me boil over, so today I went about pulling it apart. I got it done, but damn Chevy, why do you need to put the electronics in with a 2mm(ish) socket? Why not just a normal Philips head screw?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I hate messing with tiny Although I did kind of enjoy soldering for the first time since high school electronics class

Crazy lady wandering around our state with a shotgun, threatening to recreate Columbine.

Now schools are closed, and that means the house I'm working on today will not be empty, because the kids and parental unit will be at home.

Even worse, my kids are home, so no respite there either.

Re: Things I Hate (2)

Hate when I get an email contact from a potential customer and they start off with attitude about how I need to get back to them without delay or they are going to find someone else.

What?!? I should drop everything I'm doing because your looking for bids!?!

If your that pushy in your initial contact I imagine your going to be a treat to quote think I'll just pass

Re: Things I Hate (2)

Just send them a one word response.

OK.

Let them figure it out.

I had a guy that I was trying to get a vanity job from. Sent out a design and didn't hear back from him for 3 weeks, then he wanted me to modify it so I did and sent it to him that night. a month later he's telling me "Do you want this fkn job or not?"

Told him guess not.

Last thing I need is a non responsive client that demands immediate attention when he need it but responds to me whenever he feels like it. Have a nice day.

That's a great quote.

Write a "company policy" email response with how you would love to serve their needs but their response has timed out and will be responded to in accordance with request.

Basically, get in the back of the line... I'll email you in a few months

It wasn't long ago every truck had a rifle in the parking lot here in highschool. How times have changed. I remember Columbine like yesterday. We got told the next day that any gun found in any vehicle would be confiscated right after a moment of silence.

Now that same school I went to is a big hub-bub with all deep city people. Most of them never grew up here and can't believe we had so many guns on school premises without a single problem.

I hate all the new gun laws...

Company policy line is fantastic when they know you're a company of one.

Hey, all that stuff is tracked on the system first meeting to project completion, but you can't just have a bunch of inactive stuff cluttering your management system up, it has to get dropped off sometime....

Same idea as cleaning up your desk.

We could bring shotguns to elementary school. Just had to put them in the principles office during school, then take them back after school to go duck hunting just off school property.

In Jr. High we could keep them in our locker.

Our state has video lottery, poker, black jack, keno, etc.

Met couple of friends for a beer this afternoon. Young man from my church I know is having financial troubles was at the bar.

Watched him drop 7- $20 bills in one and never hit.

He's got a wife and kids at home
