Your wife's car is clean enough to notice a little blue chalk on the floor?

I've had customers pay me then have had the funds pulled from my account because the bank thought it was fraudulent.

Customer was totally embarrassed.

Glad to see they made it right.

I'm heading to see a guy I sub for tomorrow to find out why he is several grand behind on payments. His answer will indicate whether I completely the work he wants me to do Saturday or not.

Maybe your pretty green in business or maybe you've been lucky and haven't had to deal with this.

If you owe me a couple Grand the only way you'll get me to finish a damn thing is by paying me... I don't give a **** how sweet you can talk.

Reaching in to my jacket pocket to put my reading glasses in there only to find out I had put an egg in there that was no longer in it's original form.

Hard enough to keep it straight whether or not eggs are good for you...

This years take...

Eggs linked to increased cholesterol, risk of heart disease in new study... https://www.foxnews.com/health/eggs-...e-in-new-study

Screw 'em... eggs stay on the list until I can celebrate the next article saying they're good for you again...

I just read an article this morning staying eggs are a "super food" that people need to eat more of. I'm definitely in that camp, eat 'em almost every morning.

If that was a yolk it wasn't all that funny.

Re: Things I Hate (2)

New thing to hate. The freezer on my back porch went kaput. I was using my electric chainsaw to cut up some wood for the grill and it thru the GFI plug so I moved cord to front porch plug. Then the light bulb goes off, my freezer is plugged in the same socket, oh chit. Lucky for me I caught it before all my deer meat thawed out.

Sucks tho, this is the 3rd appliance I've had problems with since moving in Sept. of '16. First it was the Bosch dishwasher, just past 1 year warranty. Then my fridge last year and now the freezer. Don't they make anything that last now days? At least those lay down freezers aren't very expensive so I'll just buy another one. Getting a service guy out here in the boonies then paying for parts would probably cost more than a new one so why bother.

Sounds like it might be time for a whole house surge protector.

You think it might have something to do with a carpenter wiring his own house who's never done it before? Seemed easy enough at the time. Actually I had Bigtime put in most of the plugs, he was journeyman electrician at one time.

WFT is whole house surge protector? Never heard of one.

Maybe I have bare wires too close to each other. Could be time for a professional.

Re: Things I Hate (2)

Lose neutral wire at the meter or panel can cause surges, voltage variations and other things ripe to destroy sensitive electronics. Of just a bad feed from the POCO that does the same thing.

The little surge protectors you have on a outlet strip on steroids is what a whole house surge protector is. It goes before the panel and protects the whole house.

Or you just have bad appliance luck.

I've seen that on spa pumps/controls back when I use to install/work on them. It would actually cause people to get shocked sitting on the wet deck.

SNL who is/was journeyman electrician did all the wiring in the panels. I'll get him to check it out for me. I don't trust my old eyeballs anymore to fool with small stuff like wires.

I may get one of those house surge protectors as we do have some serious lightning storms here. Daughter's house two over got hit a few years back. Thanks for the heads up.
