At least the police are taking it for prints, around here they tell you deal with it and go through your insurance. They file a report and move on

5 hours later "hey man you got a freeze plug leaking" "let me guess left hand side of the motor".

Next morning "hey man your water pump is leaking" "are you sure that one is not that old"

Next day "hey man a bolt that holds the water pump on broke", "wow after I told/warned you that is what happened the last time with a water pump and I had to replace the timing cover"

$1150 dollars later get the van back drive 10 miles truck stops charging drop off truck Monday morning get home look at where the truck was parked fresh coolant on the ground, me "hey man when you c/k out my alt that not working c/k out the coolant leak.

Next day "hey man your thermostat housing is leaking and your alternator is junk" me "well we are running out of stuffo that can leak on my coolant system"

A week later "hey man your van is ready', I pick up the van after $400 dollars drive 12 miles the truck overheats I have to leave the truck in a parking lot to cool off for 2 hours, drop off the truck Monday am get it back Thursday so far so good ?.

All this in the last month.

Re: Things I Hate (2)

At 4:00 this afternoon it was 70 degrees… My wife calls me a little after 4 and says they just canceled school for tomorrow.

We supposedly have a blizzard headed our way. 8 – 10 inches with 50 MPH winds. Supposed to hit about 10 tomorrow morning and be done by 6pm.

We’re empty nesters so we can do that any time!

I hate the sudden change…

And that I have to go to work tomorrow… unless it hits before 7.

When my mechanic tells me I've got a misfire on my number 3 cylinder.

Looks like I won't waste money on new tires

Now to find a new truck

Did your mechanic discover what was causing the misfire?

Misfires are usually simple fixes. Bad plug, shoddy coil.

Unless it's a 6.4 PSD, then its completely justified to find something different.

Ya, I think in terms of gas engines, not diesel. Injectors are an expensive fix.
