Re: Things I Hate (2)

People had roof done couple of years ago and it's worst I've seen in a long time. Very nice people got ripped off and they know it but don't want to sue. Might head down later and I'll take a few pics of the roof. Here's what they left for my brother in all the gutters.

The guys who clean/powerwash roofs are guilty of that more often than not...

Look closer. All the old nails and shingles (not granules ) were filling those gutters

I was referring to debris left in the gutters after work in general... sorry if that wasn't clear...

That is bad. Looks like water could run back in under that first roll.

I gave a price in July 2017. We just replaced them yesterday. Nice people totally hosed by roofer. They held up all that weight plus all the snow we've had last couple of winters Smh

One of those little profit stealers that you can recapture...

For small projects FOR US -

I have actually tracked and proven that paying a superintendent who is making good money and driving one of my company vehicles 3 hours to go hand pick material and load the trailer with everything from every store and our shop for small projects and then deliver it the morning the job starts actually saves time and makes me money.

We also started stalking a room with Sundries, plastic, zipwall, Fasteners, adhesives Etc so that the guys don't need to go to the store.

My lumber yard and plumbing supplier will Hot Shot Parts out to the job anytime I need them free of charge. So I will use that service frequently, but there's a lot to be said for hand-picked materials and having everything that you possibly need from every store on the trailer for the first day or so of a small project. Also stacked in the correct order and you know it will be placed where you wanted to be placed and on time with no excuses or delays because the delivery driver got sick or blew out a tire or whatever

Hate when I'm following a cable trying to figure out where it goes to and walk right through a door with an alarm on it and set off the alarm for an entire mall. Oops.

And it was the security guy that did it.

Must inspire confidence.

It happens when your caught up in the job the door didn't have any signs or anything saying it was alarmed.

Once I explained it to security they were cool with it.

Re: Things I Hate (2)

Government.

I'm officially taking ****ing scalps. I retired from the HBA board for 1 day, went to a county meeting, left sick to my stomach and i called the exec pres and said I want to be the PAC chair. He made the current chair my co chair over the phone and had the mayor swear me in at lunch.

Any judge, councilman, legislator, manager, employee ect... that is derelict and incompetent in their ****ing job better be on notice, because I'll have 25k in legal fund raised by February to sue their ass and run new people in their place.

Man. I feel you there. I dont inflict my tile skills on my clients, but I just tiled my own fireplace hearth.

17 inches by 74 inches. Longest 3 days of my life.

My back was killing me, knees hurt, and fingers were freezing from wet saw use outside.

NEVER AGAIN!
