Weathermen.

Report said rain today starting about 11.

Wake up at 7:30 and it's pouring out.

Just curious why you wake up later. But that's only 6.5 to 7 hrs of sleep so pretty normal. I go to bed usually between 11-12 and wake up between 5 and 6.

I used to go to work later but noticed I get a lot more done in the shop if I clean up from the day before around 8 after dropping the kids off and get into what I'm working on by 8:30. That way shop stays cleaner and I have time to mentally go through the day as prep.

Helps me to have a more disciplined schedule these days. Never believed it but I'm getting a lot more work done in the same amount of hours.

Seeing this and having to give owners the bad news. Unprimed red cedar clapboards, tyvek from the 80ís, and osb sheathing.

If you're getting sick of that 7.3 hit me up. I'm interested...

Working on them is a pain in the balls though. Lemme guess, fuel injectors?

Trying to finish up front end. 600 bucks in just tie rod related parts, go to get alignment, Dana Spicer ball joints I put in this year are getting a little loose on drivers side, have to change those, install adjustable camber bushings so I can take it back and have it aligned again. During this the rear tank started leaking, rusted against skid pan, truck is from AZ, spotless under there. Fuel pick up screen was broken off, stupid skf rear wheel seal started leaking after 3 months (axle dosen't even pass through it.

Still need shocks and tires.

I don't understand why it's so hard to find parts for it. It is 22 years old, but I can literally go to any parts store in the country and find basically any part I need for my 70s chevy trucks.

They really did some dumb engineering on fords.

What's sad is, here in the Land of Fruits and Nuts, any truck over 14K GVW is subject to the CARB (California Air Resources Board) regulations.

So what this means is, any truck made before 2010 will not be able to be registered in California, starting in 2020. Virtually no work arounds, period.

Millions of perfectly good truck have been taken off the road in the last 10 years, long before their useful service life was, all in the name of "conserving resources".

And if you domicile your rig in another state, and get caught bring it into California, you face a $10K fine.

Place is phukt up. Can't wait for it to break apart.
