Good thing Lifetime warranty , made the extra cost worth it, I do get a shop discount which helps a lot. So anyhow puts me about 1 1/2 behind this morning. But at least is was in the yard and not somewhere else.
I am on my second napa lifetime starter in the last 6 months, I am beginning to question napa parts.

After having a lot of alternator, starter failures buying rebuilds, I found a shop locally that would do a total rebuild.

He maintains most lifetime warranty units just the obvious defect is repaired knowing most people don't keep their vehicles over 3 years.

These are brand new starters.

It's an easy starter to change, but that is not the point.

About ready to go buy one from ford.

All of the new starters , altinators , water pumps, etc seem to be coming from China. Not sure about the NAPA parts but all the stuff I get is marked china .

OEM parts are usually a lot cheaper online than through the dealership, and most of the parts counters at the dealers are staffed with the most arrogant ice holes around

Used to be you could count on Napa to have parts that were a cut or two above what auto zone and the like were peddling.

Doesn't seem to hold true any more though.

Never liked the gaskets from NAPA but otherwise they are good , PEP boys is the one I avoid, Iíve gotten more bad parts from them than anyone

UPDATE: The injured 8-year-old boy is in critical condition.

KENT COUNTY, MI Ė An 8-year-old boy was run over by his motherís car as she dropped him off at school Tuesday, Dec. 11, police said.

The third-grader suffered serious injuries after the accident in the parking lot of his school, Chandler Woods Charter Academy, on Samrick Avenue NE in Belmont.

He was taken by ambulance to Helen DeVos Childrenís Hospital.

Police said that the boy had just gotten out of his motherís car and was holding onto the front passenger door when the car started pulling away. His feet left the ground before he fell and was run over by the back wheel, Kent County sheriffís Sgt. Joel Roon said.

Makes the thing I hate pretty mundane compared to what that mom is probably going through.

Ugh. Gonna hug my boy a little closer tonight... He's almost 8

Re: Things I Hate (2)

It's horrible. Ive gone through the drop off many times myself. The school almost always has staff greet the student and shut the vehicle door as they are being dropped. I am not sure how this happened but given the witnessed detail that the child's feet left the ground.. I think staff was around.

My son is almost home and I'll be talking to him about it soon.
