I don't blame you at all I would be tense to if I was still roofing.

You trying to take the tools off which means you need to be making a profit for you to make a salary and there's only so many hours in a day or days in a year. You don't get that back when the weather is bad. You certainly can't keep paying people full days either. It's not like your margins are huge.

So hang in there put in some 10-hour days when you can.

Money isnít the problem for me or the business. We do decent money jobs quickly. Today they did almost 2k worth of gutters by 11 am. Larger profit in the 6Ē too. Nobody has worked a 10 hour day in ages Iím way too lazy and not hungry enough lol.

My brother has been getting a salary since he rejoined me and my brother In law gets paid a full day if he works even part of the day. How itís always been. Have to take the good with the bad and They have always made me money.

We're allowed to do that in most states. Wyoming even has 80mph limits on the interstate.

I just put mine in this weekend. Plenty of rain now, but cold weather last week.

Our cold weather had been over for a while. If it wasn't for the rain I'd be 2 weeks ahead.

That wasn't meant for you. Sheesh.

My client, a woman says she wants white white to the painter to match my doors.

I gave painter a sample. She says it looks too much like the doors and I showed her a text where she wanted a close match to the doors.

That's what we here talked about at breakfast today. Yesterday was just glorious. Then by 9 PM, rain moved back in. My pond looks like the Mississippi when it flooded, overflowing, and murky brown. Tried to mow the lower acreage, and tractor got mired.

If this year stays true to the last decade, come June, all rain will cease, and we will be parched for the rest of summer.

I have a friend from school who is now pastor of "Kitt Swamp Christian Church, NC". Yesterday, he asked all of us to pray for rain for his area.

Wild how it works. This is our driest time of year. Usually April and May we get maybe a couple inches each month.

One month from now I'll be so annoyed by water it isn't funny. It hasn't been unusually dry but 2 weeks is about as long as we usually go. Then I see you guys talking about non-stop rain. Last year we had nonstop rain and apparently you guys did too.

You guys arent that far from us really but it is a HUGE difference at times. I always am amazed how little things can make such a difference.

Re: Things I Hate (2)

Everyone says we get lots of rain.

We are pretty much done with rain and won't get anything significant until September-Oct.

Of course, we always get that one night of out of the blue rainstorm that is the bane of roofers around here. Most have been hosed by it at least once.

Re: Things I Hate (2)

The ground here is still a little cold, but it doesn't matter because it has to be dry enough to till.

Maybe later this week. We usually put the garden in last week of May, first week of June, because we can get late frosts.
