Pajama day at preschool is the best.
One less item on the morning checklist.

I think our enemies of the world who want to wussify through political correctness are enjoying themselves.

They're checking off the whole list.

LGBT....
Race...
Flood the country with migrants
Remove pledge allegiance
Kneel for the flag
Before you know it people don't identify as a country anymore..... Some would say this is over the top. This is taking a minor issue and turning it into something else.

But when you pile all these little issues together you come out with the same result.

Re: Things I Hate (2)

Just arrived at the jobsite which will be my new home for the next month and it's a ship without a captain.
My list of tasks just went from paint and trim to sweep and mop.
Also, the electrician was here yesterday before I got in to start painting and there, "might be a couple holes to patch."

I would rip a piece of Luan down to ....8" x 8' (or whatever width would cover an 8' run of holes)...screw into the joists to cover the holes...trace around it....cut out the 8' sections...then repair with 8' sections of drywall.

Is that before or after you slap the electrician upside the head?

I'm going with, 'call a drywall guy.'
The entire space is woodpeckered to hell.

Also, they mounted everything below the surface. I assume they haven't dealt with 5/8ths a lot.
Bleaurgh.

Please don't call whoever did that an electrician. Hell, that right there is an insult to drunk plumbers let alone electricians...

It's ridiculous. One day a week I let her get a donut and chocolate milk, she picks the day. Of course it was today, wearing house shoes and pajamas. I sent her in by herself so she can give them the correct amount of money and get the right amount of change.

One shouldn't wear house clothes out of the house

Ditto. But probably only 2-3 times per year. I do order stuff from them on occasion.

While they are a staple in small towns and very important to the populace, I believe they are a snapshot of a big problem we have in this country. Both with the crap products made overseas and not paying their hands worth a damn. I am a free-market capitalist and believe they can certainly offer those wages and people can certainly work there for those wages, but it it does not mean I have to respect it.

It's just such an unbelievable amount of extra work. Two straight lines would have had them done so much faster.
Also, they hit the exact spot where the diagonal supports are, so they still had to drill all their holes and run their wires sideways.
Unreal.
