Re: Things I Hate

When I was told a delivery to my shop would be on Mon or Tues. No way to contact the delivery company because it's a wholesaler that's doing the deliver (so I was told).

It didn't come Monday, even though I waited, Then today I have appts at 2:00 and need it to be delivered. early. They are suppose to call. No call.

Call the GC and tell him about my appts at 2. He calls the supplier who apparently slipped them on the shipment and was going to deliver them at 4. So since I wasn't going to be here the GC cancels today's delivery and reschedules for tomorrow. Well I'm going to be out of town for then next 3 days at my son's wedding. And I told him this on Monday in a text. So now I'm the one who has to call up the place and get the scheduling set up. grr.

Wasted my Monday and now this morning. I could have gone up and gotten materials I need for another job. But now it's to late because it'll cut into my appt time.

Later model F150? If so, those and expeditions we had a helluva time with those when I worked at the tire shop. Even if you torqued them right they were damn near impossible to get off.

I see a lot with very heavy grease up here. They don't loosen, you can get them off, and no worry about rust seizing them up.

Get a 3/4" ratchet, makes all the diff.

Penetrating oil does noting, heat is god's gift to loosening stuck bolts but don't discolor your rim with the torch.

Anti Seize is more about preventing metal to metal bonding.
