When a builder thinks my world should revolve around his project and he can't even get me the nails I need to finish the job with 2 weeks notice that not enough were sent.

Why the hell would you put him in charge of that. He'll slack off and blame you when the job is late.

After this one I am supplying materials or he can find another roofer...God forbid I couldn't start this one the moment the framers were done sheeting the roof. Nevermind I came out on a Sunday to dry this monster in.....that seems to have been forgotten.

I'd be ok with that. However I'm supplying everything from now on. I get better service from my supplier not to mention I get my shingles 10 a sq less than the builder does.

That makes no sense.
Go run and spend $20 to get a box of coil nails.

I was sent 2 boxes for 55 sq of roof. I always figure a box per skid of shingles, being steep...add a box cause I'm 7-8 nailing

When you tell the guy, "hey, we will need 3 more boxes of nails they only sent 2" and he says that he will get them to me....his fumble not mine.

Guy lives 10 minutes from the job. Easy to drop them off at some point

But you had to know upon arriving that you were gonna be short nails right? Unless you guys are pounding out 40 sq a day, you could have run out after work and grabbed them.

Re: Things I Hate

I estimated 1 box per 24 sq, then consider caps prior to the nail increase.

I shouldn't have to. I however probably would have if I wasn't asked specifically if there was anything else I needed that wasn't delivered.
