Older folks that won't face the fact that they need hearing aids.

My neighbor gets mad at me because he can't hear.

The conversations would go much smoother if he could hear what others were saying.

But, he'd rather get mad when you start yelling at him so he can hear.

I'm happy at 60-62 if the flow is good.

The same neighbor mentioned above got all pissed off two years ago when a girl struck him in a parking lot. Even though he was going diagonally across the lot, he thought it was her fault for obeying the law and driving in the lane.

Broke my own rule about sending an email when pissed off. Took a few minutes of verbal gymnastics to save myself from looking like a dick

Just being to honest isn't being a dick. The truth can hurt.

Re: Things I Hate

Emailed me Friday. Contacted him he's local and I said I'd drive by and take a look and get back to him.

Saturday he emails and calls.

Sunday he calls and says he's disappointed he hasn't heard back from me and if I don't want his business Yada Yada.

I responded to him with an email with "I guess only you suit and tie guys get to take weekends off??" Guess was more snark than dick.

Re: Things I Hate

I'll usually go by on a Saturday. I'd rather not interfere with workday time.

Without being able to determine tone, you could pass that off as a joke.

True. " i guess only you suit and tie guys get to take weekends off" would have worked better

They say it's important to get hearing aids early on because the longer the brain functions without hearing sounds, the more like it will lose the ability to hear/ process them.
