Moving.

End of the month I move back into the city. I'll put half my life into some boxes and probably throw the rest out.

Need a good purge once in a while.

I hate Moving!

If there is one piece of info I will pass along about moving is that standard moving boxes are priceless.
They are the same size so they stack nicely when loading the truck.

Did I say I hate Moving!
What I hate worse than moving is packing! --- I'll help you move but I won't help you pack.
I'll pick it up, carry it out, and load it on the truck and the load in when we get to destination. (Furniture, Major Appliances, Crates, Boxes)

But I'm not putting anything into those boxes.

And all that debris that is left laying around after everything is loaded out (all the crap tenants usually leave behind -- This topic deserves it's own Things I Hate), I'm not touching it.

I actually bought about 15 boxes to move with. They are worth it.

I'll be selling a few things that have lingered for too many years now which should help a bit.

I just rent but I do try to leave the place in better shape than I rented it in. It's paid back with good references from previous landlords which I need, especially being a young guy.

My current landlord says he's sad to see us go. The cheques were always good and we never received a complaint in the 5 years we were here.

I actually like the packing part. It's like a puzzle. My refrigerator is small and it needs to be arranged just right if we want to fit everything in there. My wife sucks at this and is always setting traps. You know, on the top shelf she'll balance a plate on top of the milk and something else so when it's late at night you pull the milk out and this plate slams to the floor. How is it I can arrange the stuff in the fridge so there are no traps and she can't?

Or you can go with the "men have superior spatial reasoning abilities" explanation, and gloat - whichever you feel best about....

I didn't know that was an option. Is this how far we've gone downhill with personal communication, where they would rather voice to text instead of just leaving a voice mail?
