Re: Things I Hate

Another thing I hate about my insurance company:

Now they are asking me for a list of the people who live in my household along with their drivers license numbers and who they insure with. I'll be cancelling my policy today.

I also hate alarming internet ads that say things like, "Does your ear and nose itch at the same time? Doctors say that's not good. Here 4 signs that you are about to have a heart attack."

I hate high trucks. The only thing I can think of that these manufacturers are raising them is marketing. Makes zero sense from a practical point of view.

I always thought that was “ankles and boobs”.

Re: Things I Hate

My wife asking me what I want for my birthday and putting a 300 dollar limit on me, after I just gave her $1000.00 of fun money to go to New York to visit my daughter!

It's never apples to apples with women and money! Never!

...That means she only spent $700 in NY and you're actually buying your own birthday present

When I was younger I did a lot of off the main road stuff, mostly hunting and camping in areas you need 4x4, like down a river bed a few miles. 1 or 2" lift makes a big difference in getting high centered.

Factory 4x4 gets the truck high enough for me now. If I still did that stuff Id buy an older 4x4 and lift it.

Re: Things I Hate

Doesn't matter how high they have the truck from factory, there's always the guys that will lift their rig rocket as high as their credit card will allow.

I go to an annual off roading adventure and having a lift can save your ass on some of those trails. But in the parking lot at Lowe's? Not so much...

If it was a damaged board then I'd probably go that route, but I have to pour some SLC under to fill the void, and I just wonder how well that would really work.

Re: Things I Hate

Phone calls like this

Bobby: I phucked up Jesse
Me: what's happened?
Bobby: the mini vac fell out of the back of the truck and broke
Me: how bad is it, is it fixable
Bobby: well I drove about 2 miles before I realized I was dragging it by the cord, but I think I got all the parts.....

I'm 6', and have plenty of forehead dents to show for it.

I get the idea of lift being good for off-road, but that doesn't justify doing it to all the real work trucks and grocery-getters. That's just sacrificing usability for image.

Safety, too. Harder to see what's immediately behind you when backing.

Now that there is funny… I don’t care who you are

Sorry man. I know it's not funny. Just reminded me of the dog in one of the National Lampoon movies.
