I agree. Some of my creditors have systems that are smart enough to take the money right off the bat and then if I have any questions that involve my personal info, only THEN will they ask for verification.

But other than that I've always wondered what happened to my info if I have to enter it into the automated system only to get a phone rep that asks me the same thing again. I think that my student loan company is the only one who knows who I am after the automated response system.

But what I hate is when I call to make the payment and the rep tries to sell me something else through a special offer or some other kind of promotional scheme. Please let me just make the payment. That's all I can think about right now.

I still won't do online banking. And I don't trust giving my info out or emails from banks . So to stay on topic I hate emails from banks.

4 banks. Citi, bank of America, TD bank north & Chase.
Chase was the one in particular. They were & are the toughest creditors from my experience.
I hate chase..... Lol too lazy to close out the account.

I keep one too along with a trigger.
So I hate it when someone drops something or breaks my saw cord.

I haven't had a guard on my saw in 20 years so you really have to be careful the blade doesn't hit the cord. It still happens every few years.

Re: Things I Hate

Driving 30 minutes on a Sunday to get a roof closed up before it rains this week. I need to frame in a skylight and it is now drizzling and I am sitting in the local store parking lot waiting for it to drizzle less.

Oh hey, it looks like it stopped.

Now I hate working on Sunday in general. I am working on someone else's house because the roofing was two days late.

If it was on time, it would be done and my own roof wouldn't be leaking this week as I would be working on it today. Good thing I have plastic. Frick.

Hitting the cord would be the least of my worries, otherwise...

How do you set it down?

Does your saw have a break or do you wait for the blade to stop spinning?
If the latter, I'd hate to tally up all the cuts in a day, week or year. (Not counting fingers, toes or any other flesh).

I think the time lost waiting, would far outweigh the few times you have to hold up the guard manually. (Or for whatever other reason you chock or remove).

But of course, that's just my opinion. (Oh and maybe OSHA & DOSH)

D.

edit: Probably not a good thing to be saying or endorsing as "Contractor of the Month". (Especially for the impressionable youngin's)

Hes the owner of a business, he is exempt from OSHA under normal circumstances. He is exercising the right to do what he wants

You set the saw down upside down (side)

I left the guard down on my saw 8 years ago doing some commercial work. Got used to it, and though the saw operates better to me with no guard, it is hard for me to tell my hands to leave their down while mine is up, and also it eliminates the risk of one of them walking into the exposed blade when it is set down.

Some things I still put in a shim for, rafter tails for one.

Roof packers that insist on stacking every single bundle upside down.
