He calls me back and says if you want the router case and just one accessory I have a brand new one here at the house that I have never used. Won it at a raffle. So I get it for $80 which should put this in the things I love thread.
Yesterday I had a project to use it on..............I have 56 router bits that are 1/2" shank and not ONE that is 1/4" Thats going to be a much more expensive router than I thought.

Correction I do have ONE bit after yesterday. On the bright side it had more torque and power than I expected.
You know they have a adapter for the bits right?.. going from small bit to big bit anyhow.. so why don't you switch the routers?... Oh hell, it doesn't matter, if your luck is anything like mine, no matter what router you have you'll always only have the wrong size bits w you. Yeah you're screwed. Sorry. Oh and btw, there's one more size of those things so make sure u check when you buy the new bits... cuz they look like 1/4 " bits but they aren't..

The colt will accept 1/4" and smaller. The collet holder isn't big enough to put a 1/2" bit into it. It's a small single hand router. I love mine for what it is. But for bigger jobs you need a bigger router.

Yeah I have the 1/2 to 1/4" reducer collet for my half inch router(mounted in a table). I don't see how an adapter to put 1/2" bit in a 1/4" collet would work. Leo's right on this.
I also did not know there was a third size. Must be communist 6mm???

I'm sorry to hear the level of building is so bad in Naperville, IL
It's not that bad over here.

Re: Things I Hate

I hate... seeing my favorite TV stars from the 70's on those "senior citizen" targeted commercials. e.g. medical stuff, stair lifts, reverse mortgages, etc. It's disappointing to see Fonzie taking gigs like that when he had one heck of a career.

Why would you be sorry? I get tons of work because of it. It's not like I care how they did things back then nor did I grow up here. All I care about is how I do it today.
