20 minute drive only took 45. Even the idiots were driving slowly. Barely made it up my road. 15 minutes later, I probably wouldn't have.

Been quite a few years since I had to take the Walk of Shame.

Re: Things I Hate

Got out of the shop around 7:20. Was surprised to see 2" of snow on the ground and my truck. Wasn't suppose to start until 11pm when I looked at the weather this morning. So I cleaned the truck off and started to go home. Caught up with a guy doing 20mph. Gawd that is sooo sloooow. All the way for 2 miles, brakes at every intersection and all hills. Unbelievable.

I hate it when they creep up the hills .. It messes up the flow .

What no chains?

I heard they outlawed them in some areas. They work good tho.

It's like 65 right now, pretty pleasant going out for the wife's birthday.

Seems Florida catches wind we're supposed to have traffic though. It's horrible now and will be until April.

I have chains for my van, and they do work well. But I'd need a lot more incentive than the current payscale to put them on at the jobsite, take them off for the highway drive home, then put them back on to get to my house.

I took the AWD Subaru today. If that thing can't make it, the only way anyone else will is due to better ground clearance.

The other side of the coin is that you're at the mercy of other drivers who might decide to slide into you. Chains don't do diddly for that.

7 hrs for a 75 min drive
Route 80, route 10, route 46 all closed tried to take back roads but some open mouth breathers slow down or stop on hills. Or decide to clean windows in lane of traffic

I swear it's like everyone from Florida and Texas were driving out in CT. Like they've never seen snow before. It's frik'n New England. It snows here. Every frik'n year.

To add insult to injury some were running out of gas.
Ultimately my 15 minute commute took over 3 he's.

After sitting in traffic for an hour I saw a backup in my local exit so I skipped it and jumped on a little connecting sect on I80 and that was worse.

Where's the middle finger emoji?

We got 6-7" of global warming on the ground. Forecasters suck. They predicted 1-2".

I think they underestimated how cold the ground was because it's stuck immediately. I took a window header out and reframed in opening. Anything landed on the ground was getting lost in the snow right away.
