Having the sump pump hose outlet get restricted, then biding my time while the 4" of water in the cellar recedes.

When your Stabila 7'-12' plate level won't extend. Bummer, might be time to replace it.

Edit: Looks like Stabila offers a replacement kit for the interior parts of extension levels. Looks like this may be my best option.

Re: Things I Hate

This thing has been a good work horse on rowdy framing jobs. A couple years ago the guys knocked it down an empty two flight stairwell; about an 18' trip landing on some leaning lumber to brake the fall. Still was reading accurately.

I'd buy one again in a heartbeat.

Fortunately not, just a joke on the mnemonics we all shared when studying for our Captain's licenses. The normal one is,
'Boat ahead, show your red'........... There's a ton of them, here's the one for getting your compass course,

'True Virgins Make Dull Companions, Add Whiskey' which translates to

True course (taken from the compass rose)
Variation (taken from the compass rose also usually)
Magnetic course (after adding or subtracting the variation)
Deviation (taken from a table that is made for each boat depending on the metal in it)
Compass Course (the course you steer)
Add West variation, subtract east variation

Re: Things I Hate

Picked a kid up that used to work for my ex plumber on the side of the road when I was headed home.

Recognized him when he got in the truck, really good guy.

High out of his mind.

He asked if I wanted his number when I dropped him off, for some extra set of hands.

I said nope.

Usually slows down by hunting season. Ain't happening this year. Busy as I've ever been. Not going to be as enjoyable unfortunately.

That was one of the nicest things there. We didn't see too much drug use while we were there.

In town here we have a heavy heroin/fentynal problem. I think my county is one of the highest around (literally). A lot of decent people are on that **** now.
