Re: Things I Hate

Ordering something from Amazon and it tells you guaranteed deliver by a date, it's prime. And then you press complete transaction and all of a sudden the date has 3-4 days added to it and it's an estimate instead of a guarantee. WTF.

You have to actually click the button to have it delivered in one day, otherwise it defaults to 2 days.

Re: Things I Hate

I ordered 3 things. They said Sunday for delivery. 2 of the items had the option for Saturday delivery and I pressed that button. If I wanted the other item delivered Saturday they wanted $9. So 2 items for Saturday and one on Sunday.

Press complete order and now the Sunday order got moved up to Wednesday and it's only and estimate for deliver.

It's not the first time it's happened.

Sounds like one item wasn't Prime.

They can mess with that as they see fit as it's not in their warehouse and not shipped by them.

Yep, sometimes it is better to put in two or three separate orders.

Nope, they said they were all prime. They gave me options to the same item at a slightly lower price without prime.

Only thing I can think of is there was only one left and maybe someone bought it right before I pressed go.

Re: Things I Hate

Think I've only returned one thing. LiIon batteries that didn't work out of the box. And I got a replacement charge controller that was malfunctioning but required no return.

Re: Things I Hate

Prime has changed. Itís now 2 days from when it ships, not from when you order it. Some stuff still is, but I find they are getting worse and worse. They hooked you, now they are having their way with you.

Cabling a place that requires me to unlock and lock doors as I go. I'm used to card access open the door and it looks automatically behind you.

Remembering to lock the doors is a pain it also allows everything down

Did a job for a crazy lady who was overly fearful of bad guys getting in the house. We were required to lock door behind us whether we were going in or out. Even a 20 second trip to the truck for a tool she insisted we lock door on way out. She did have the decency to warn me that she was nuts and I should add a little (lot) to the estimate to accommodate her lunacy.

Today I hate Ipe and the camo hidden fastener system. Canít get a single deck board down without having some kind of issue.

I never bought into the camo HFS, used on one composite deck and that was it. You don't need their stupid tool to toe screw boards.
