I hate when I am replying to a thread and have this long reply written out and then I click to post it only to find the thread has been closed.

I need moderator status so I can get my thoughts in no matter what.

I hate.. showing up on the jobsite and hearing the sound of the drywall guy's screwgun when I realize that I forgot to run some very important wires.

I hate when wire guys show up on a job three days later at noon and say, "Oh man, i wasn't done yet."

I also don't understand why we have twelve feet of wire sticking out of the wall to Sheetrock, mud, paint around and then when they finally show back up, there are 11 feet 8 inch pieces of wire lying on the floor.

That's a classic...so true...couple months ago I quoted a job, scheduled a date, called to confirm, I get there and the entire place is being mudded. I said to the handyman GC "what the fvck this place is drywalled" he replies "yeah what's the problem?".

I hate for someone to be asking me trival, non task related questions when I'm trying to remember measurements.

I was putting up crown mold for an elderly lady, shes sitting in the yard chair on the porch watching and talking to me asking a hundred questions ranging everywhere from what kind of dog do I have to how much money I made last year. I bet I made a half a dozen unnecassary ladder climbs because I forgot the measurementon the way to the chop saw. I finally just sat down beside her and talked to her a while.

Sometimes I think people just want work done to have somebody to have a conversation with.

Then you start feeling like a dumba$$, cause your measuring everything six times and still getting things wrong. Had a lady a couple weeks ago, same way, never shut up for ten hrs straight:mad:Course would of only been there 6 hrs if I could of completed one of my own thoughts without interruption.

That's because I hate when the wire is too short when it's time to trim out. I don't know what the drywall guys are doing to my wire but if I leave 6" of wire hanging out of the wall, when I get back, I'll have less than 3" to work with.

 It's the little night elve's that do these these things. Maybe it's the drywaller's wife and she thinks that it is six inches.
