Willy Please Quote me where I said it was normal and I will correct it! It is by no means normal It just is. There is a 3rd gender. Do I like it, no. But it is! It does exists. Are you doubtful that people with both genitalia are out there And do you judge them as less than you?

I think you're blurring the lines between someone that is born w/ ambiguous gentialia, and someone that's sexually attracted to someone else that is the same sex (homosexuality).

Ambiguous genitalia is real and its something we don't understand. W/ advances in genetics we can try to start to decode some of it, but we still don't understand it. We have the technology to know if a person w/ ambiguous genitalia has the male or female chromosome, but if the person has the male chromosome odds are they'll have to take testosterone pills (or whatever they're called). This is real, and that's what I wondered earlier in this long, drawn out thread; is the boy in the original link ambiguous, or is the mother just a nut case that's basically selling her soul for some publicity?

Just for the record, there is no homosexual chromosome.

But is there a homosexual gene? Chromosomes contain the genes.

(Probably yes.)

What is your "probably yes" based on?

No there isn't. People might wish there were, but there isn't one that anyone can prove w/ any amount of validity.

Re: These Type Stories Make Me Want To Opt Out Of Society...

Hmmm, probably going to get flamed for this but if the child is born with both male and female parts and they begin to act towards one gender then maybe that is the gender they should be. How is this going to look when this "boy" ends up with a huge set of knockers and is attracted to boys as they mature? Are they still a boy just because they have a penis?

A friend of mine has a sister born with ALL the parts, his parents made the decision at birth to have the penis removed and they would then have a son "my friend" and a girl "his sister". She was attractive but she also was far stronger than most girls and had no issue with getting into a fist fight with anyone. Did the parents make the right decision?

People are born with twisted limbs, cleft plates,etc..
I have to wonder, if in some cases, chromosomes and/or genes get "twisted" and may be the reason we have homosexuality and people who feel like women in men's bodies. Maybe they are.?

Not yet!

I say "probably yes" only because they haven't unlocked that part of the genetic puzzle...yet. I actually see it as more than likely in due time. I don't "wish" it were or "wish" it not to be. Couldn't care less. But they are isolating genes for all kinds of traits all the time. Also genes that serve regulatory functions. Some are straightforward (eye color, can you "roll" your tongue, Down's syndrome, "is the plant "RoundUp-ready", etc.) and others are far more complicated to unlock. Whether some believe this is how the body works is irrelevant. It happens, and it's being understood more and more all the time.

They only recently sequenced the entire human genome. That was once thought impossible. You're aware of that, right? Do you realize the significance? It's like finding a map, and now they're learning to read it, painstakingly, bit by bit.
