STUDY: Women Better Drivers Than Men

A study has found that women are better drivers than men, based on insurance claims and accident statistics. Do you agree?

Quote:
Male drivers also seem to have more accidents than women - costing insurers more money when it comes to claims pay-outs - the research found.

Last year, two out of three insurance claims were made by men, of which 17% were fault claims.

The report also found that men's claims are generally more expensive than women's, which could be down to the fact that they often own more expensive cars

Re: STUDY: Women Better Drivers Than Men

Over the last 30+ years, I've had zero claims, doing extensive driving for field service work most of that time. Over the same period, my wife, with 10-15 mile commuting, has had nine.

Maybe math works differently in the UK.

Re: STUDY: Women Better Drivers Than Men

I'm betting if you took the male teenagers out of the equation it would change that scenario quite a bit. The only claims on either of us are when we were stopped and someone hit us. My wife's car was parked on the road and someone back out of their driveway into the front quarter panel and I was stopped at a light and someone rear ended me. Not a scratch on my hitch, $3K damage to the front of the guys car LOL

Strange, I was watching Family Feud and the topic was women are better than men at.............. And just about every character and personality trait an individual could have women were better.
It's like watching married with children in the husband's a moron.

Pro woman subliminal messages. next thing you know people will be repeating it as women are better. And should be elected into higher positions..........

It's rare that's not the case... sitcoms, commercials, etc.

Can't think of a recent commercial where the man is not made out to be deficient...

How about the one where they have a ceiling water leak, the guy says he can fix it, and not only is he vetoed by the wife but in a snide, demeaning way...

It's so prevalent, Bill Burr, the comic, has made a cottage industry out of it...

Every woman in my wife's family (5) has backed off my driveway and into the ditch. When they use the mirror they turn the wheel in the wrong direction...

my wife is a very good driver....EXCEPT...she doesn't pay any attention to the road surface itself. i swear she aims for potholes, manhole covers and water main valve boxes that are set 4-5" below top of paving.

funny our struts/shocks last a year

When I'm a passenger with my wife driving I swear she aims for anything pothole-ish. But only on my side of the car.

They are if it means driving their husbands crazy! I hate riding with my wife she speeds up, slows down constantly when no one is near her. She starts braking a block before a traffic light, WTF?
