It explains how I feel when I'm using either one of my favorite pieces of wood. I go in, hit it hard, and come out wet because I'm a .........

Anyone care to guess what the other one actually is?

Re: The Story Behind The Name

When I set out on my own, wife (then girlfriend) and I went in it together, she was my helper and always helped a ton with design and sales. I Tom, she Amanda formed T&A home repairs. After 3-4 years (and marriage) she said we can work together or we can be married, but not both. She went back to nursing, but I kept the name. I love giving people "the look" when they say , I thought T&A stood for..... I just say what are you sick or something? :-)

Re: The Story Behind The Name

Started doing decks and retaining walls as a "hobby" and my business partner wanted to keep any names totally separate from anything to do with his ex-wife. I wanted to call the company "Harry and a Hoe"

Re: The Story Behind The Name

One of the nick names I have is "Big Job Johnson"! Had a new kid working with us and we did like 5 really big jobs in a row. After showing up to another big job he said something to the effect you only do the big jobs - my foreman piped up and said yea that's why we call him Big Job Johnson and it stuck.
As a Company Commander at the Great Lakes Recruit Training Center I was known as "Little Hitler". Aboard ship and pretty much throughout the Navy I was known as "Choker Johnson".
