The first tims in hamilton was built on the site of a garage owned by an old family friend. They offered him 20% or cash value of the land....
Guess what he took.

Edit: I grew up about five minutes from there, everytime we drove past it my dad told me the story. Must have heard it 2000 times.

Sheesh. I just learned that there is a blue side to roll as well. When did this happen?

Re: Roll Up The Rim To Win

I tried TH's once on a trip north. Nice place, but coffee was nothing special and the donuts were sweet, yet bland....sort of like KrispyK's.

DD is better. Cinnamon for me.

Edit: I suspect DD uses a little bit more salt in their dough. Makes a difference.

I've never been a big fan of Tims but the new dark roast is much better. I've one two coffee and a donut this year all on the yellow side.

There was a great time in history where Tim's made their donuts on site. Now they come in precooked and frozen and they get re-heated on site and glazed. KK is heaven on earth compared to Tims donuts.

Yup product quality has gone downhill from 40 years ago when it was a treat to go and get an orange twist doughnut...I was hoping I would see that in the retro-comeback of discontinued items last year.
