Gunny !!!

He played the role so well, they always wanted him to play it...

Even if he was playing something else, his distinctive voice just brought you right back...

Officer and a Gentleman and Full Metal Jacket

Full metal Jacket...
Holy dog ****, Texas! Only steers and queers come from Texas, private Cowboy! And you don't look much like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down.

Well there ya go... Good stuff.

Full Metal Jacket is one of my favorite movies of all time. Never could get any movie quotes right.

He had some great documentaries he did as well. He did one on the M1 Abrams that was fantastic, made me wanna go find one to drive!

The original TCM was basically the beginning of a whole new genre of horror movies. It and the original Halloween are my favorites, well hell raiser and nightmare on elm street.

Not a Friday the 13th fan?

I was big on Freddy and Jason... Poltergeist was pretty freaky too.

So what part did Ermey play in TCM? Can't remember him at all in it.
