Re: The Official Thank You Post..................

I'd like to add a family friend and client. Passed away recently and in his final days was concerned with trying to get healthy to prepare his next lecture (serious medical issues I won't go into) . Did a hell of a lot for us during the cold war, among other things.

I think Robie and Cricket and all the others that used the donated rewards points to get stuff for the toys for tots deserve a giant thank you.

I think what the firefighters, police and paramedics do all around the world on a daily basis is staggering. Risking your life to save another life...any life.

You should see these new things we got for water rescue. It looks like a torpedo with handles on it, then we connect a hose to it, or as many as we need for length. Then we cap the hose with a special end, and connect it to one of our air bottles, and fill the hose with air. Then we can just push it into the water to a person that's stuck in the water. It's got a sling for the person to wrap around their arms. Then we pull them in.

We still have to swim out for animals though

Luckily we stay just warm enough here that our rivers don't usually freeze. We run most of our water rescues in the summer.
