The Neverending Cat.

Shortly after my wife and I got together, we got a kitten. A little black fuzz ball I named Johnny.

For a few years he was our baby, coming with us when we moved to a different neighborhood. After a year or so in the new place, he came home sick, foaming and lethargic, after being missing for a couple days. The kitten we had recently gotten didn't come back so we figured that the poison that had almost killed Johnny, killed the kitten.

A few months later he went missing again, this time for much longer. We had given up hope after a few months when we received a phone call from the vet where we had Johnny fixed. It seemed someone on the other side of town had found Johnny wandering around and picked him up. We had a tattoo put in his ear when we got him fixed and when the guy phoned the vet, we came up as the owners, so we got Johnny back.

I will mention that Johnny absolutely hated the other cats we tried to bring in the house, we even joked that it was him who killed them. He would also attack dogs, viciously, from across the yard.

Well, a year or so later we got a dog, Roscoe, and Johnny was some miffed. He would walk around growling almost all day and would attack almost everything, including me. Well soon Johnny had enough and took off, never to be seen or heard of again. There was rumor of him living on the railroad tracks, but these were never confirmed.

He disappeared almost 2 years ago.

2 days ago a vet from the next town phones and says he has Johnny! What!

So here he is, the neverending cat.

That cat looks like it has a bad attitude, if you ask me.

He does.

After the adventures he's been through, he's entitled to it.

Re: The Neverending Cat.

We had one that lasted 23 yrs. She was also an adult when she adopted us so there is no clue as to how old she really was.

Your trials may have just started.

I don't care what you say, he can't be trusted. Either that or he got into some bud.

Cut off the ear and bury the tattoo while you have the chance.

Oh man, that is one seriously bad a$$ cat! never get rid of him.

Our cat has an attitude, it's pretty cool. I think I can take him but I'm not sure.

Cats are great, it's all in the preparation. You have to marinate them for 24 hours, then you slow roast them on a rotisserie, basting them every 15 minutes with Cattleman's BBQ sauce.

Re: The Neverending Cat.

A puppy is nature's way of saying, "you used to have nice carpet." A kitten is nature's way of saying, "you used to have nice furniture."

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.
