Meeting Members Thread - Camping Trip

A couple of you guys were talking about this in the General forum in the meeting members thread.

So, I was talking to my buddy Johnathan (BlueRidgeGreen) and he invited me and my family to come visit this summer. Plenty of space. Hes got a bunch of acreage in the blue ridge mountain foothills. River, wilderness, fishing, telling lies, fire pit, good food with better company... and as a bonus, a house so you can be lost in the wilderness but just a little ways away from everything you need if you forget something.

Anyhow he told me to let everyone know he would be happy to host everyone for a camping trip this summer and I told him I'd pass along this information.

If that's the plan, I'm into it.

If Tin wants to host again, I'm into that too.

Just let me know what to bring.

I figured my family will stay for a little while before the camping and then they will go on to Pittsburgh to visit my wife's family. Then I can stop being responsible for a couple days...

He just texted me and said he is in the process of stocking the river with rainbow and browns this year so fishing should be really good.

I have so many trips planned this Summer that if I tried to get a kitchen pass from the old lady I'd probably get Walking Papers instead. Lol.

I attended the camp in Pa. last fall, it was a fun time.

I'd certainly be interested in a camp at BRG's place.

I think you underestimate my trip schedule.... it just kinda happened - when I added the axis hunt she laid down the law. Lol. Lot of weekend trips - if I tell her let's go on vacation to the south east to meet my internet friends she will kill me

Y'all have fun though

Yeah, I'm not guilty of taking many days off, so I got a hall pass on missing her family's stuff. If you take the ole lady to meet my ole lady though it could work as long as they get to spend a bunch of our money...

I get it. No one tells me what to do except a little blonde haired broad who goes about 5'2" and a hundred nothing pounds.

Johnathan said he is excited and willing to make this an all out festival. He seems stoked, so I told him to be ready if we all get after it and he said yes can handle all who want to come....

I'm kinda his PR guy for a bit.

We just were talking and thought this could be a good time when he was telling me to stop by on our way to PA and I figured why go to PA?

Re: Meeting Members Thread - Camping Trip

So let's talk dates. We we're thinking June for our vacation time. Are people good with June?

BRG is done with family obligation stuff after Memorial day and said he'd be good after that... Anybody have different dates that work better for them?

Re: Meeting Members Thread - Camping Trip

I had a great time last year hanging out with the guys. I won't be able to do anything this summer cause we are finishing our house to sell it and trying to buy land, build a shop, move, etc.

There is a chance I'd make something in the fall but I may just need to wait till next year.
