Lost Buddy

I lost my TV watching buddy, Decker.
Here's us watching football. Lost buddy-imageuploadedbycontractortalk1436325854.535430.jpg
His brother Blackie is with us on the right.
He was only eight.
Have to measure six times and then double check, because my mind wanders.
Sometimes life sucks for a while.

It's a tough loss. It's amazing how close you can get to an animal. Sorry to hear that.

Re: Lost Buddy

That's a neat trick you can do there with your eyes and still watch TV.

Sorry 'bout loosing your buddy.

Re: Lost Buddy

So very sorry about your buddy.

I lost my helper buddy last fall. He would hang with me while I loaded or cleaned out the truck. Load noises didn't even phase him. Even now, I still expect to see his head pop up when I head to work in the morning. It just isn't the same.

Re: Lost Buddy

Like another poster said.... it's simply AMAZING how close you can get to an animal. My chocolate lab Dutch (in my avatar), is really getting up there and has slowed down quite a bit. It won't be terribly long for him either (I think he was watching the same game that you and Decker were.... LOL).

Sorry for your loss though. Maybe Blackie will take his place.

Re: Lost Buddy

It is amazing how much love and companionship you can get from a small animal.
Coming home is just different.
Blackie is still confused. They were never separated ever since birth.
It was almost spooky the connection the two shared.

Re: Lost Buddy

Yes, I have been through this before
Twice.
Once with my 19 yr old dog (Scar), and once with another cat who thought it was a dog.
People who don't have animals do not understand.
Someone actually said, you know it's a cat right?
Not sure I will ever talk to them again.
Pets really are not animals, they are furry members of our family, capable of more love and respect than a lot of blood relatives.
