Labors Girlfriend.

Has anyone experienced laborers girlfriends not wanting the boyfriend to work?

Several times now I've seen or fellow contractors have commented on labor's girlfriend pushing the boyfriend to not work for some reason. Things they all had in common is girlfriend has section 8 housing (free rent) and it never seems to be a wife. I always thought women pushed their other to go work and bring home a paycheck. But it seems that has changed.

Re: Labors Girlfriend.

I have seen many guys getting "whipped" about working too many hours, and when the lulls hit they get more of it because he isn't bringing in enough money.

Everyone likes the money. Most don't like the effort it takes to get a lot of it.

Re: Labors Girlfriend.

I don't use much labor but when I do people generally show up on time and work hard. Maybe the fact that I pick them up has something to do with being on time and not leaving til the days done.
I've noticed generally it's the clients girlfriend/wife who makes my hours weird.... Ugh then subsequently complains about the smell of paint, dust, streaks on the outside of the windows, the rain, the sun... and everything underneath it.
