I'm The Luckiest Guy On The Planet

I swear, my whole life I've been surrounded by luck. Once again, I got lucky.

Last night a big storm hit and took down one of my largest pine trees. It's every inch of 80 feet. The tree took down another large tree on it's way down and

missed my truck by inches. We have two driveways and I parked below but last night, and for no particular reason I decided to park in the middle instead of the left side like I normally done. If I would of done what I normally do the truck would be smashed. Here are the photos....

I was headed to the EAA airshow this morning. Guess that's canceled cause I'll be making love to my Stihl for the next few hours.

If you need to get rid of it, let me know. I can load it up in my dump trailer and take it to get mulched. The place usually wants $$ though.

There is a few good boards in that tree. See if you can't find them.

Thanks Bam, really do appreciate the kind offer. I have a large trailer and a city waste area just down the road from me and they take it all with a $10 annual city fee.

The neighbors are gonna help which is cool.

thats not luck.. we create our own luck.
luck is when you are last in line for a liver transplant and someone mistakingly starts from the bottom of the list.

So how did the guy at the bottom of the list create his own luck?

I've been awfully lucky over the years, many things I've received in life was because of no effort on my part.

i am not trying to be rude but by claiming to be the
"luckiest guy on the planet", it comes across as arrogant. i tried to do some math based on the estimated number of people on the planet and then you being the
luckiest.. i find it impossible to know for sure.. that statement is also disrespectful to the family of Lou Gehrig you made a famous speech about being lucky. perhaps you could of just said '" hey guys, i feel somewhat lucky today".
i just thought that statement was rather bold without doing any deep research and statistics.

i wouldn't take davinci too seriously. that said, mike does tend to make some pretty bold statements which don't leave much wiggle room. maybe he's like the 14th luckiest guy on the planet. either way, glad it worked out.

Lol, yeah, I do tend to do that with my statements but are normally just an opinion. I'm smart enough to know I'm not always right.

Not pine, hardwood is better. My mom burns wood in a box stove and I have a pellet stove....which I wouldn't recommend. Pine is something that you don't really want in a chimney.

Half way done! Couple tanks of gas and some Jethro Tull on the speakers.
