If You Could Buy One Muscle Car?

Im looking for some ideas on a new muscle car purchace? If you could buy one what would it be. This will not be a show car. Its going to be a daily driver.

Long story short. My wife and I in 4 yrs will be traveling on 13 week assignments in the medical field. Her as an rn me as a surge tech. And I want to do it in style!

So Im starting to plan ahead. I want to purchase this car by this spring and start a full restoration. Car will be equiped with all power options, cc, ac etc. Because when we leave we will be jumping in this car and driving wherever we sign up for.

So 1 muscle car purchase, what should I get?

Easy, '69 Camaro Z with hidden headlights. Red with black stripes and cowl hood. Black guts and one bitchin' small block with a sweet lope and one hell of a throaty exhaust.

71 Mach one Mustang with a 351 Cleveland SCJ with 4 bolt mains under the hood. 2 Barrel 750 Cfm holly double pumper. Throw a stage one shift kit in the tranny and it will kill anything on the road.

Will turn 7000 to 8000 RPM all day long every day. No questions asked. It will beg for it.

Resto mod 67 to 69 Camaro, Vette, anything GM with Hp. I've had 5 67 and 8 Camaros all original cars. Currently have nothing but a truck and a 96 Vic with 14,000 miles (weird)

Re: If You Could Buy One Muscle Car?

I have a 67 Chevelle and love it. I'd really like a late 60's Mustang.

I'm selling a 64 Impala Super Sport convertible. Black with a white top and silver interior. The body is rust free and original. It has a 327 with a powerglide. Been in the family for about 25 years or so.

Also selling the 40 Chevy 2 dr sedan and a 37 Chevy.

Re: If You Could Buy One Muscle Car?

The whole thing with the car is this: I have been self employed as a contractor for a long time. Due to bad knees, a weak back, and buisness isnt what it use to be i decided to go back to college and get into the medical field like my wife. Never have to worry about not having a job!

For the last 16 years Ive been stuck in work trucks and work vans. Never really had time or the money for a wicked nice car.

Figure since Im getting into a new career, its time for some new wheels.

My wife had a few mustangs over the years. 99' 01' and a 04'. Loved driving those on the weekends. So much fun.

But if Im getting into a sports car i want it to move! I want the ultimate car. Very fast, very reliable with all the modern stuff, but the classic look, feel and sound!

I liked the 67 Chevelle SS 396, though I owned a GTO. The Boss's were hot too.
