I Feel Much Better.

Started working with a new company as a sub installer. All I do is replace stolen equipment. Money isn't excellent although it isn't shabby either (50k-60k) and the goOd thing is I have no one breathing down my neck. Every aspect of the job is all on my own terms.

Maybe it's that I wasn't working all last month and after the caca with my old boss' wife firing me I had a minor nervous breakdown.

I'm back on track now!

This is all I will be doing for this company, replacing stolen equipment. Yup, lot's of stolen equipment around here. Thing is these are 99% new construction homes without anyone occupying them which makes it terribley easy to steal. But these homes are insured so the insurance compnay pays us to replace them. No selling needed whatsoever.

Here's the one from today, my first job with new company. Granted I have to go and actually install the condenser tomorrow but I went and checked it out today and picked up the new unit.

Stole the lineset to the inside of the wall as well. Good thing about this is I have free reign to cut open the walls as I see fit to make repairs and I will be cutting that wall tomorrow.

Ps, DO NOT attempt to pop up a riveted down condenser with your dolley. I broke mine while at the job today doing just that, went straight to my old machine shop and had it "fixed" just after.

Anyways, thanks everyone.

Way to go doc. Stress sucks.

Write yourself a script for something good.

Good deal, it sounds like you will be happy, and really isn't that what its about? No babysitting, collecting a good check, and enjoying the work.

You can bet on that. Why don't the banks just give the buyer a credit at closing to have it installed right when they move in.

Interesting idea, but I think the CO has something to do with that...

Glad to hear you landed somewhere that meets what you needed...

Re: I Feel Much Better.

Stupid ass insurance company put one straight back to be stolen. Will they Cover it again if it goes missing as I would expect them to say make sure it's caged this time as we won't cover next time. No wonder my rates went up 1/3rd this year for home insurance

In the "good" parts of Dayton alot of the homeowners are having these units placed on the roof.

Re: I Feel Much Better.

Yup, if it's stolen again then I'll be back to install another one for another $230 for 1.5 hours worth of work. Say, someone go steal that condenser!! HA!

Not sure why these people don't have cages built but not my concern.

Btw, my story keeps getting better and better. Remember my old boss who's wife fired me because I was so good the customer wanted me to do the job but she wanted her inadequate son to do it which left me telling her she was not my boss and then me hanging up on her to which she left a ton of drunken messages firing me? Well I met up with my old boss two days ago, on my way in from the job posted on this thread, to give him some old work orders I still had from his company. DoOd wanted me to go and take some calls for him right then and there but I had other things to do but beginning this Monday I am informally again working for him, clause being under no circumstances, life, death, fire from Hell or rains from the Heavens is his wife to ever call me and I am never to talk to her, period. She can kiss my ass yesterday, today and tomorrow infinity. Those were my terms or he can go find help elsewhere. Says he fully understands.

I start Monday.

When it rains it pours, as they say.

Best of luck Doc. Good to see you've landed on your feet.

So will you be working for the "old boss" and doing the insurance replacement work as well?
